Implementing state of the art CREM structures is a comprehensive and ambitious project. All elements of real estate management, from strategy, operational and organizational structure, to the management of external service providers, have to be included. Breaking new ground in this context means to tackle historically grown organizational structures, to go about critical issues such as outsourcing and to provide property management with a higher significance in the organization. If it is possible to finally transform these efforts into a continuous performance improvement process, CREM can make a sustainable contribution to the enhancement of corporate value.
